4/6 EQ bands on/off available in MCU midi mapping
Open, WishlistPublic

Description

For midi 'current channel' - 'PEQ" only has a generic on/off. Would it be possible to add on/off for the individual frequency bands?

What would you expect to happen if the band is "off" and the user changes the gain on the mixer?
For this to work the app would need to keep track of each band value for all channels

Maybe I misunderstood the question, but the current behavior in mixing station and console is that on/off band activation is fully decoupled from the band gain and that seems fine.
I really meant on/off activation, not off by gain=0, maybe that’s what you thought?

The X32 has no on/off per band, only for the whole peq. So this feature would need to implement that in software

If you didn't mean gain, then I don't understand what the request is

Since you can turn bands on and off in the UI, I assumed there is such a function. If there's not and it's actually the gain being zeroed while a dummy gain lives in the UI only, I understand it's a bit hard.

Okay so I checked the mixer and it's a internal gain reset. So the mixer doesn't expose the "on/off" state.
Nevertheless it would be possible to implement this in the app.
