Kindle Fire (2nd Generation) D026
Open, NormalPublic

Description

Hi, when trying to open the app on my slightly old Kindle Fire (2nd Generation) D026 I get an error message saying Mixing Station has stopped. The app will not load. Not even to the first screen, so I can't even select a mixer.

Platform: Android
Variant: XM32
Version: 1.1.3

Event Timeline

Are you using the "Mixing Station" or "Mixing Station XM32" app?

It seems like a lot of users (~300) are getting out of memory errors when launching the app.
I can't reproduce this issue so far on any of my test devices, including very old android 4.0 phones and a kindle fire HD (3rd gen)

I tried it with the older x32 app, and then when it didnt work I installed the new mixing station 1.1.3. I'm going to try resetting the device with a fresh install, but it might be that the tablet is just too old. btw it's running op system version 10.5.1

Thanks

No old devices are still fine. I possibly narrowed the issue down to the font size.
Did you change the app scaling in the past?

nope. It was all standard on the kindle

i just tried a fresh install of the op system, then fresh download of the app. But same error.

Does this issue still occur? I wasn't able to reproduce it so far

Hi. Yes it still looks like the latest version will not install correctly on old android systems. As an experiment I tried installing an older version of mixing station x32 on the same tablet and it worked.

Hm, the oldest supported version android is 4.1 and it works fine on my old kindle fire HD
