Ah, makes sense. Great to see progress, though. Thanks.
I love this idea. The only processor I've seen that does this is Lake.
confirmed same on iOS 1.0.2(20)

Getting there. If I solo on the desk, the RTA shows up in that channel on MSP 1.0.3 (22).
On the Qu version, any channel with PEQ displayed is auto-soloed. Not here.
Also, the Solo button doesn't appear in the channel strip when enabled.
There's just a blank space below the PEQ preview.

I was just coming here to ask for GEQ in the masters. It’s more important than you'd think ringing out monitors on a GLD, since the output HPF eats one of the 4 PEQ bands. Ideally, there would be a spectrum analyzer in that window, too.

Lovely. Thank you.
and there it is. Thank you.

It would have been good to know that before I bought this GLD. The app even has RTA Follow in the settings.

The docs could use some per-device detailing.
I would be happy to contribute to the docs, but I don't grok GitHub.
Thanks for updating the beta IDs in the changelogs, btw.
This is how Yamaha does the RTA on their iPad apps. They started it with older mixers that couldn't produce an RTA, but it turned out to be really useful. You can match a pitch that's giving you trouble by singing or whistling it into the tablet mic, and it shows up in the EQ screen ready to be notched.
But then there's no RTA. So is that just a function of how the Qu assigns the RTA?

In the template editor, the only option under Current channel is Main, with sub options Fader and Pan.
A Gain knob works if I open an X32 template in the GLD editor, but the GLD editor can't make one.

Board is new to me. Lots to learn. How bizarre that full range isn't the default.
Ah, but in MSP it shows up as just "1". Must be conflicting defaults. When I give it an actual name, it seems OK.
Hmm, the gain control from a copied XM32 template seems to be working now. It wasn't before.

Qu32 and Qu16. That's why I tagged it Qu and iOS.

this one is done

1.0.1(17) layout import confirmed working with iCloud on iOS 9 and DropBox on iOS 10.
Feb 19 2019
It's been on that tablet since it worked on iOS9. I also have .ipas backed up for every version of every important app I've ever had, so I could reinstall it if needed. Doesn't work with MSP, though.
Keep your eye out for a used Air or some such. They're very cheap now, and plenty fast enough. My favorite tablet for MSP is a Mini 4.
O.P's comment (opening in) is curious. I expect he's trying to send a file to MSP from Dropbox, instead of using the import.
Feb 18 2019
Dropbox works for me on newer iOS. Still fails on 9 and 10, awaiting the next release.
Apple has a refund procedure. You don't need to request anything from David. I'm curious as to what didn't work, though.
Feb 2 2019
Just confirmed again on another Qu16 and on an XR18 in my home studio. Excellent connection.
Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.
Ch1, gain set to 30, fader to 0, Send 1 fader to -10, Send 2 fader to -20, Send 3 fader to -30
Ch config, gear icon, select Sends and LR/M, deselect Gate and Comp.
Change Gain to +40
Nothing changes on the mixer.
App displays gain 40, Fader -10, send faders -20, -30, -40.
If I touch any of the altered controls, the mixer jumps to that value.
Feb 1 2019
confirmed on Qu. App shows changes, but the mixer doesn’t. If i touch a changed control in the app, the mixer jumps to that value.
Oh, it's up in the gear. Took me a while find.
"More" in dynamics crashes the X32 Android app, too.
Jan 31 2019
How is this implemented? I see it in the current changelog, but I haven't found it in the 1.0.2 (75) XR18 Android app.
Jan 17 2019
went in today and could not reproduce this either. I have seen it before, though, on Ch22, if I remember right.
Went in today, and all linked faders worked. Could not reproduce.
Jan 15 2019
I think both. I will try to get in this week and confirm, do a more complete test.
Jan 12 2019
2 devices, 1 Android & 1 iOS, Wifi very stable. Didn’t try again. I’m back there in a week.
This was online.

iPad4, 10.3.3, saving works. Share works to DropBox. Import crashes immediately, as already reported and fixed. Perhaps there is UI confusion between the folder icon and the double arrow icon.
Jan 9 2019
Ah, that explains it. Always thought that was weird.
Jan 7 2019
Same on iPad4 running 10.3.3, just for complete information.
It's going to be frustrating waiting for Apple to push updates.
Will you be posting betas, or just directly pushing finals?
Anyway, I'm really glad you're on iOS now.
Jan 6 2019
Immediately after arrows. Never even get to see a file selection screen. Same when connected to XR. Same on X32, Qu, and GLD.

Global bus config? Are you sure you're not looking at the output master config? That part of Behringer's setup confuses many people. What do you see from X Air Edit on a laptop?
Dec 11 2018
Confirmed again, made a Qu32 layout on the iOS 12 Mini4 and imported it to the iOS 9 Mini.
iOS 12 also gives you access to Google Drive (and Dropbox and Box and a bunch of other options), so we should be able to share across platforms.
They're all 12.1 except the Mini 1.
Same procedure just worked on my iPad Mini 1 running iOS 9.3.5. I got an import confirmation message, and im4xfer appeared in my list of layouts.
Same procedure failed on my Air 2.
If I was having trouble with name syncs, I'm not now. I can't tell what version on Android. The numbers are hidden by the Qu-Drive access option window. It properly edits 6 character names, though.

Pleased to report that the Regular MIDI driver option in 1.0.0 (67) restores full function to my docked Asus TF300T.

ethernet device might be accepted as well causing the dropout.
Nov 9 2018
I'll get you this next week when I’m home again.
Nov 6 2018
Finally home and can look at this again. Symptoms are much more clear. No lockups.
This is a very old tablet, and slow. I only use it because it has a dock that connects ethernet, USB, and power, all at once.
I just updated in the Play Store, now shows 1.0.0 (62)

The A&H QU-Pad app bares a much stronger resemblance to the layout of the actual mixers and is more intuitive to use
The layout is completely configurable. Arrange it how you like.
I made a layout that's probably closest to Behringer's X-Air iPad app, and I use it on X32, X-Air, and Qu.
I have a column of 1-button SOF selectors down the right side, layout selectors across the top left, and knobs for selected channel HP, comp threshold, and gain, top right.

more info. wiped the config directory, program works.
copied in my old config directory, manually loaded the config, and everything works.
Saved default with just layers and layouts, all good.
Saved default with MIDI, and it locks up.
Delete Midimap.mmp, reboot, no change.
Delete settings-default, reboot, and we're in.
Load layers and layouts, save as default, all good.
Reconnect ethernet, still all good.
Looks like it's the MIDI.
Oct 16 2018
hrrrm, continues to lock up.
Burn the X Air folder again, reboot.
It continues to ask me if I should use the (not connected) MIDi device.
And now it's locked up hard again.
Uninstall, dig further with File Manager and delete Mixing Station/x18
Seems pretty likely that there's a config conflict, what with the new directory.
aaaaaaand now it's not downloading the app. Stuck on "Download pending..."
Is there a way to rollback versions on Android? Or a way to access apps directly to sideload?
meterbar does not scale correctly
This all has, I dunno, more visual snap. This is the new platform? Really looking forward to it.
OK, got it, confirmed already fixed. Wow, things have changed. I need to rebuild my layouts. I was using that dead space right of the meter bridge on the bigger tablets.
How old is 0.003.0 (55)? I'm on a train, and I can't get my Android tablets to talk to my mobile wifi.
Oct 1 2018
You can copy that entire directory to a computer or Dropbox or whatever. Then you can copy it to a new tablet. I find that it seems to be necessary to reboot each tablet, before copying from and after copying to, for the correct files to appear. Each of my 4 tablets has a different screen size, so I do my basic layout on the smallest one, copy to the others, and expand as needed. On the larger tablets I add buttons and features in the blank spaces.
Jul 31 2018
Yes, all good. "Use Sof" sounds like something I would want in this case. Perhaps it could be renamed. I'm not clear enough on its function to make a suggestion, though.
Jul 26 2018
Qu-24 is probably OK. Hw many USB channels show in your mixer's menu?
