Pleased to report that the Regular MIDI driver option in 1.0.0 (67) restores full function to my docked Asus TF300T.
Nov 29 2018
I also have a similar problem with Behringer's XtouchMini midi controller (Hardware-IDs: USB \ VID_1397 & PID_00B3 & REV_0200 & MI_00, USB \ VID_1397 & PID_00B3 & MI_00)
, on my DROID4X android emulator, to be able to connect to my Qu-SB, I must proceed as follows:
- A first time in "offline", the app asks me if I accept the connection of the hardware midi, ... I accept and the mixer MSP opens.
- I disconnect MSP.
- A second time, I reconnect in "offline", the app asks me again if I accept the material midi, ... I accept ...
- I disconnect the app again.
And here I can connect to my Qu-SB, and everything works as it should ...
I'm waiting for the PC version of Mixing-Station !!! It's for when?

Okay then as a sort of solution I'll add a second option when activating midi which allows you to choose if only known midi devices should be accepted (old behavior) or if all devices should be scanned (current behavior which causes issues)

ethernet device might be accepted as well causing the dropout.

Working much better now, but the Go-button is still going forward as soon as you press it. The Go+Prev seems to be going to the current, or something like that. Go+Next also works a bit strange.
Nov 13 2018
Yes it was indeed a bit off.
Now it behaves correctly:
Nov 12 2018
It still does not work as expected, the Go-button just goes to the next and not the selected. In my mind you have the current selected snapshot, prev show the previous, next show the next. And the Go should then make the selected snapshot permanent. The Go+Next immediate goes to the next and same with the Go+Prev. It just is very messed up, can't make out what happens.
And if you do a next on the last snapshot the app completely crashes.

I'll get you this next week when I’m home again.

Will be fixed in the next update
The actual issue is that the selected scene does not increase when loading a snapshot.
After fixing this issue the labels are correctly shown
Well that's interesting. The only change in the midi stack was that a wider range usb devices are accepted.
I assume that the ethernet device might be accepted as well causing the dropout.
Do you by any chance know the vendorID and product ID of the ethernet device?
You can find these IDs in the device manager of windows for example:
- Open Device Manager
- Select Device -> Properties
- Go to "Details" tab
- Select "Hardware-IDs"
- Send me a screenshot of the values (for example HID/VID_1E7D&PID_3232&...)

Yes. I have a custom button that switches the mutegroup, and renamed the mutegroup itself. The button keeps on saying Mute Grp 1. See also two uploads, first is the definition, second is what it is on screen.

Finally home and can look at this again. Symptoms are much more clear. No lockups.
This is a very old tablet, and slow. I only use it because it has a dock that connects ethernet, USB, and power, all at once.
I just updated in the Play Store, now shows 1.0.0 (62)
Nov 4 2018
Where does this happen? When assigning a mutegroup to a custom button?

Will be fixed with the next update

I just was testing this and it seems that the desing-mode does it wrong. So when I am in portrait, going into the design, going back, then to landscape and then into design, it works as expected.
If I am in design and then switch orientation it goes wrong. So luckily there is a work-around, but the problem is still there....

You have to touch without moving your finger much. Reason for that is that you can now also drag the pan directly without the popup

If the android device locks up hard and you're not able to kill the app using the android task manager or the "App is not responding" dialog I would say the OTG implementation on your device is somewhat faulty.
I verified usb midi on a couple of devices and had no issues so far. Maybe can you send me your configuration folder after the app locked up?
more info. wiped the config directory, program works.
copied in my old config directory, manually loaded the config, and everything works.
Saved default with just layers and layouts, all good.
Saved default with MIDI, and it locks up.
Delete Midimap.mmp, reboot, no change.
Delete settings-default, reboot, and we're in.
Load layers and layouts, save as default, all good.
Reconnect ethernet, still all good.
Looks like it's the MIDI.

hrrrm, continues to lock up.
Burn the X Air folder again, reboot.
It continues to ask me if I should use the (not connected) MIDi device.
And now it's locked up hard again.
Uninstall, dig further with File Manager and delete Mixing Station/x18
Seems pretty likely that there's a config conflict, what with the new directory.
aaaaaaand now it's not downloading the app. Stuck on "Download pending..."
Is there a way to rollback versions on Android? Or a way to access apps directly to sideload?
