Yes in case of the GLD the fader should disappear, that's definitely a bug

Maybe you could ghost the faders when they’re not actually relevant.
Ah, I see. I’m at an X32 now, and it behaves the same way. I think it’s confusing, but MSP should probably mimic the desk. Now I need to go back to the GLD and see if it’s doing the same thing. I don’t think it is, though. I think it just leaves the FOH mix on the faders. I think that’s a terrible design.
I know but in mixing station you can still control the send level (which is not used in group mode). The idea is that you know the send level when switching back to a regular send tap. Sometimes sends are still way up and switching back may cause issues.
I don't think so. Look at the channel sends page in X32 edit 3.2. When you configure a send as a sub group, the fader goes away, and there's just a power switch. I'm at a desk in a few hours, I'll check it out and report back.
On XM32 the fader is actually the fader of the send, even when the group tap is selected. On the GLD this might be an actual bug

Getting there. If I solo on the desk, the RTA shows up in that channel on MSP 1.0.3 (22).
On the Qu version, any channel with PEQ displayed is auto-soloed. Not here.
Also, the Solo button doesn't appear in the channel strip when enabled.
There's just a blank space below the PEQ preview.

Yep can imagine. I'll try adding the GEQ this weekend - it will have the RTA in the background
I was just coming here to ask for GEQ in the masters. It’s more important than you'd think ringing out monitors on a GLD, since the output HPF eats one of the 4 PEQ bands. Ideally, there would be a spectrum analyzer in that window, too.
